Lapstone Out Of School Hours Care

Before & After School Care and Vacation Care on the grounds of Lapstone Public School

Lapstone Out Of School Hours care, known as LOOSH, is nestled amongst the gum trees in the Lower Blue Mountains,  on the grounds of Lapstone Public School.  We offer before and after school care, as well as vacation care, for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The service is open to students attending surrounding schools, as well as those at Lapstone Public School.

LOOSH provides a safe environment for children and we encourage development through play. To provide you with peace of mind, our service is accredited by ACEQA.

A community owned and run, not for profit service. We pride ourselves on working in partnership with families in the management of the centre.

Due to strict COVID regulations, parents will no longer be able to come on to Lapstone Public School grounds to pick their child up from LOOSH. Please instead follow the below procedure:

Before School Care:

Parents are to wait at the gate and not come on to Lapstone Public School Grounds.

Parents call either the landline (02) 4708 1850 or the mobile 0468 928 582

A LOOSH educator will come out and collect the child walk to the centre, where they will be signed in.

After School Care:

Parents are to wait at the gate and not come on to Lapstone Public School Grounds.

Parents call either the landline (02) 4708 1850 or the mobile 0468 928 582

LOOSH educators will gather the child/children and their belongings, sign the child out and walk the child out to the carpark.

This change will come into effect Monday the 24th August.

Thankyou for your patience and understanding as we undergo this change in order to protect our school and wider community.

To ensure we continue to do what is best to protect our families and the community, we have made the decision to cancel all excursions this Easter Vacation Care. We are disappointed to have to do this but we feel that by limiting visors in the centre and travel to and from excursions it will help to limit any unnecessary exposure to children, staff and vulnerable community members while Covid-19 infection control measures are in place.
If you have questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact the centre.
